Weanne Myrrh Estrada
Doctoral Fellow
Weanne is a public health professional with experience in global health research and humanitarian action. She received her BS in Nursing from the Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) and her MPH Global Health degree from Loma Linda University. She was a Humanitarian Action Fellow for the Duke Global Policy Program in Geneva, interning at the World Health Organization where she was involved with the development of a risk assessment tool for 13 countries in Africa. Prior to moving to New York, Weanne worked as a faculty member and research consultant for the AUP Public Health Department. She has done community engagement work and research in the United States, Malawi, Switzerland, Vietnam, and the Philippines. As a Project Manager for the HEARD Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Project, she works with Dr. Victoria Ngo on the MHPSS Learning Collaborative, providing technical support on studies implementing MHPSS interventions to trauma-impacted communities in low and middle income countries.
