The University serves students across varying and changing statuses such as, but not limited to, Lawful Permanent Residents, International and Exchange Student Visas, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Temporary Protective Status (TPS), Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), Asylums and Refugees, and those in mixed status families.

CUNY Immigration Assistance Project (CIAP) is a new rapid response legal resource for those impacted by recent immigration policy changes. Services offered through the program are available for currently enrolled CUNY students and employees.

CUNY Citizenship Now offers free, high-quality, and confidential immigration law services to help you and your family on your path to U.S. citizenship. Our attorneys and paralegals will assess your eligibility for legal benefits and help you apply if you qualify.
